The number of pandemics in our future is now growing astonomically. And they are all coming from the fact that humans are overwhelming the world. All of the natural ecosystems are now being swamped by human beings. And we are not only overwhelming the world, but we are destroying it as we go. Every time humans come up with another great idea about how to make more money, the environment pays, ecosystems are damaged, species die. One thing that happens with great regularity is that forrest are cut down. This happens in the great rain forest of the tropical world and it happens right here in North America and in the US. As natural ecosystems are destroyed the animals that live in them are forced and into closer and closer contact with humans. We ask how to stop the next pandemic? There are answers. And some of the best ways are illustrated very dramatically in the video below. This is a great video.
Below is a link to an excellent video that describes just how badly humans are destroying the natural world and the consequences for us humans. This video is all about how to stop the next pandemic. The video was published in an article in the New York Times on September 15, 2020. The article is entitled “A ‘Crossroads’ for Humanity: Earth’s Biodiversity Is Still Collapsing”
Here is the video. I highly recommend it.
I have written a number of posts about how the human decimation of the natural world is behind the eruption of the Corona Pandemic and many, many other smaller pandemics that are not so well known. Below are a few of these posts.
